YUMI Filaments โ Compliance & Certifications¶
Every YUMI filament is backed by third-party lab testing: TรV SรD, BCTC and the Wuxi materials lab. This page is the official file bank for that paperwork โ technical data sheets, safety data sheets, REACH SVHC declarations, FDA food-contact reports, CE/RoHS certificates and independent mechanical test reports โ free to download for resellers, print shops, schools and any customer who needs to file compliance paperwork of their own.
Who needs these documents
- Resellers & distributors โ CE/RoHS and REACH SVHC are required to legally place filament on the EU market.
- Print shops, schools, fablabs โ the SDS is required for workplace safety filing (COSHH/Code du travail) wherever the filament is used professionally.
- Anyone printing food-contact parts โ check the FDA section below; only specific grades are food-safe, not the whole range.
- Engineers choosing a material โ the TDS gives print temperatures and mechanical properties; the test reports validate real-world performance (hardness, mechanical strength, antibacterial action).
Document categories¶
1. Technical Data Sheets (TDS)¶
The TDS lists the physical, thermal and mechanical properties of the filament โ diameter tolerance, density, tensile strength, recommended nozzle/bed temperatures โ everything needed to set up a slicer profile or compare materials. For a browsable, material-by-material breakdown of this data, see Technical Data & Print Settings.
2. Safety Data Sheet (SDS / MSDS)¶
The SDS covers composition, GHS hazard classification, handling, storage and first-aid measures. It is the document workplaces and professional resellers must keep on file under REACH/CLP โ required any time the filament is used or stored in a professional setting, not just for private use.

3. REACH SVHC Declaration¶
Under EU Regulation (EC) 1907/2006 (REACH), any article containing a Substance of Very High Concern above 0.1% w/w on ECHA's candidate list must be declared. These TรV SรD reports certify that YUMI filament is tested against the current SVHC candidate list โ required to import or resell filament into the EU.

4. FDA Food-Contact Compliance¶
FDA compliance (US 21 CFR) certifies that a specific filament grade is safe for food-contact applications โ kitchen tools, containers, utensils. This only applies to the grades listed below, not to the YUMI range as a whole: check the exact material before printing anything that will touch food.

| YUMI High Speed PETG โ FDA Compliance (2023) | YUMI High Speed PETG | 299 KB | |

5. CE Declaration & RoHS Compliance¶
The CE mark is the manufacturer's declaration that a product meets EU health, safety and environmental requirements โ mandatory to sell in the EU. RoHS (EU 2011/65) restricts hazardous substances (lead, cadmium, certain phthalates, etc.); these reports test each filament color individually, since pigments are a common source of restricted substances.
6. Independent Test Reports¶
Beyond regulatory paperwork, these are independent lab reports that validate real-world performance for specific product lines โ mechanical strength, hardness, antibacterial action โ useful when specifying a material for a demanding application.
