Clean Print Bed¶
Interval: Every 7 days
Difficulty: Easy
Time: 2 minutes
Applies to: C235, C335, C435
Why¶
Fingerprints, dust, and filament residue reduce bed adhesion. A clean bed means:
- Better first layer adhesion
- No warping or lifting
- Consistent results across prints
What You Need¶
- Isopropyl alcohol (IPA) 90%+
- Lint-free cloth or paper towel
Steps¶
1. Let the bed cool¶
Wait until the bed is at room temperature.
2. Spray IPA¶
Spray or apply IPA generously on the build surface.
3. Wipe¶
Wipe in one direction with the lint-free cloth. Don't scrub in circles.
4. Let dry¶
Wait 30 seconds for the IPA to evaporate completely.
5. Mark as done¶
On your SmartPad: Menu > More > Maintenance > Clean Print Bed > Done
Tips¶
- Don't touch the bed with bare fingers after cleaning
- For stubborn residue (PETG, glue stick), use warm water first then IPA
- Deep clean with dish soap and water every month
